Cranberry Spritzer

Ingredients:

3 oz. cranberry juice cocktail
7 oz. diet lemon lime sodaice cubes

Utensils:

measuring cup
cup


Directions:

1. Fill glass with ice cubes.
2. Add juice and diet soda.
3. Mix well.

Serves: 1

Serving size: 10 oz. liquid

Variations and suggestions:

Try this recipe with different flavors of juice. Be sure to pay attention to the amount of carbohydrates in the different juices you may use. (The soda doesn't contain any carbohydrates.) Garnish with a lemon, lime, or orange slice.
Note: This recipe is especially for kids with diabetes, but it can be a nutritious part of almost anyone's diet. Kids with diabetes may need to pay extra attention to the amount of carbohydrates they eat to maintain control of their blood sugar levels.
